On Board The "Neptune", off Norfolk Island. A ship of the 2nd Fleet. His mother Catherine Crowley convicted, and deported, for stealing clothes. His father D'Arcy Wentworth, a qualified doctor, had "volunteered for Botany Bay", having been acquitted at The Old Bailey, four times, on charges of being a highwayman. D'Arcy was very well connected. |
