John Knapp, son of Samuel and Hannah (Bushnell) Knapp, was born in 1700 in Danbury, Connecticut.[1]

He married Margaret Taylor, daughter of Daniel Taylor, about 1724.[1]

John died in 1758 on shipboard on Lake Erie and was buried in the lake.[1]
