DUQUE, Calixto G. - Major; chief, Planning Section, Defense Plans Division, Philippine Army Headquarters, Manila.
Born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, on October 1, 1895; the son of Venancio Duque and Angela Castillo; attended University of the Philippines, 1917, and graduated from the Infantry School, Fort Benning, Georgia, 1927. He was appointed third lieutenant, Philippine Constabulary, 1917; promoted to second lieutenant, 1919: first lieutenant, 1920; Captain, 1931; and Major, 1937. He served in Mindanao where he participated in the campaign against the Moro outlaws in 1923; was assistant Provincial Commander of Sulu, 1927; Provincial Commander of Agusan, 1927-32; post adjutant and instructor, Constabulary Academy, 1933; Commandant of Cadets, Philippine Military Academy, 1936; and since 1936 he has been Chief, Planning Section, Defense Plans Division, Philippine Army Headquarters. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was president of the Baguio Bachelors' Club.
