From his obituary in the Evening Bulletin of Maysville, Kentucky, of Aug. 23, 1895:
Baldwin Clifton Foxworthy
Baldwin Clifton Foxworthy, of Mt. Carmel, who had been ill the past month, died Sunday night, Aug. 18th, aged 86 years. He leaves a large circle of friends and relatives:
His wife, who was Miss Sallie DeBell, died nine years ago.
He was a man who by his walk and conversation bore out the Master's teaching, and in his death the church loses an earnest and effective worker. He was a pulpit orator off no mean power and the high esteem in which he was held by all who knew him evidenced the great worth of the man. A leader has gone from us to enjoy the eternal reward which he has earned and which Christ has promised those who are faithful until the end.
