Annis Ryder was born about 1648, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Ryder.

She married Thomas Reeve about 1669 in Southold.[1]

The 1686 Southold Census lists Annis Reeve family of 1 male and 2 females[2]. The male would be her son Thomas, who is found in land records of 1702 and 1704, and may be the Thomas who died in 1706.[1] Two persons named Thomas Reeve are found in the records, one died 4 Feb. 1706 and another died 19 March 1707, both in Southold.[3] A Thomas Reeves died 9 Nov. 1738 in Southold, who was from Southampton and the Reeves family of Massachusetts origin.[4][5]

Annis is cited by her father, Thomas Ryder, in a grant of land and property to Caleb Curtis & his wife Elizabeth, daughter of said Thomas Ryder, who directs that within twelve months after his death that Caleb Curtis shall pay a sum to Annis Ryder alias Reeves, daughter of said Thomas Ryder.[6][7]

Annis is listed as Annis Reeve, widdow, in the 1698 Southold Census.[8]

Annis Reeve died 25 September 1722 in Southold.[1][9]
