Obituary: PEARLIE GATHRIGHT VESTAL:

Mrs. Pearlie Gathright Vestal, 79, widow of R. I. (Ike) Vestal of Strong, died Monday afternoon at an El Dorado hospital following a long illness.

Funeral Services will be a 2 p.m. today (Nov. 7, 1979) at the First Baptist Church of Strong, with the Rev. David Laird officiating. Burial will follow in Sweet Home Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary.

Mrs. Vestal was born at Huttig on Feb. 25, 1900, the daughter of W. E. and Cordie Little Gathright. She was a life-long resident of Union County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Strong.

Survivors include three sons, A. D. Vestal, Max Vestal and Collin Vestal, all of Strong; two daughters, Mrs. Merle Knox and Mrs. Maxine Russell, both of Strong; a brother, J. D. Gathright of Huttig; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grand-children.
