Lady Anne Hamilton was born in 1592.[2] She was the daughter of James Hamilton, 1st Earl of Abercorn and Marion Boyd.[1]

She married Hugh Sempill, 5th Lord Sempill, son of Robert Sempill, 4th Lord Sempill and Lady Agnes Montgomerie, circa 7 November 1611.[3]

She died before 1620, without male issue.[3]

From circa 7 November 1611, her married name became Sempill.[3]
