Anna Catharina Clara Thomas (Wayland) was born on December 16, 1715 in Waldbach, Württemberg (now Baden-Württemberg, Germany), Baden-Württemberg, Germany and was baptized on December 17, 1715 in Unterheinriet u. Waldbach, Württemberg, Deutschland. Her parents were Thomas Wayland and Maria Barbara Wieland (Seppach).

Anna married Michael Thomas in 1737 in Virginia, Colonial America. Together they had the following children:
