About Anna Maria Tegarden
in June 1967 a book was written "Genealogy and Biographical Sketches DESCENDANTS of ABRAHAM TEGARDEN" compiled by Helen Elizabeth Vogt Berkeley,CALIF June 1967 & a revised copy was published June,1988 by George and Shirley Teegarden,with Revisions compiled by Helen Vogt found on page 548....
Levi born in PA 1756 marr Jane Briggs,dau of Capt Samuel Briggs their son,Robert Smith Todd was father of MARY(TODD)LINCOLN.(Mrs Abraham Lincoln) Goes on states Robert's sister Anna was the Aunt of Mrs Abraham Lincoln Anna(Todd)married BASIL TEGARDEN Now on page 547 of same Tegarden book shows a TOMBSTONE PICTURE Liberty Cemetery -East of Orleans,Orange Co,Indiana "ANN TODD TEGARDEN" was the aunt of Mary Todd Lincoln, the wife of our 16th president Abraham Lincoln.She was the wife of Basil Tegarden and died May 7,1863 at the age 84.
F. Anne Marie - b. June 17, 1778 - d. May 7, 1863 Ann stayed with her brother Robert Smith Todd to tend to his children after the death of his wife Eliza Parker Todd. Married Walter Bullock. Ann was his second wife. There were no descendants.

Anna Todd grew up in Kentucky. She was the aunt of Mary Todd Lincoln, the wife of Abraham Lincoln. She herself married Basil Tegarden in Shelby county, Kentucky in 1797. They moved to Orleans in Orange county, Indiana in 1814 where they raised eleven children.
Anna outlived her husband by twenty years and died in 1863 at the splendid age of eighty four. She was buried next to her husband in the Liberty cemetery east of Orleans. Several other Tegardens are buried in the same plot, including some of her children.

Anna Todd married Basil Teagarden in Shelby County, KY on Oct. 21, 1797. The license of file is signed by her father's mark as John Todd. Witnessed by Jacob Ruble, at the cost of 50 pounds legal tender at that time.
Jacob Ruble was either the brother or father of Mary Ruble who married John Todd. Since 1910 the Taylor family has sought the relationship of John Todd, father of Anna Todd Teagarden, to Robert Smith Todd, father of Mary Todd Lincoln, again with no success.
