Anna Maria was the daughter of Simon Witmyer and Mary Klingemyer. She had at least one brother Simon and one sister Magdalena who married Peter Weigle. In about 1775, Anna Maria marred Andrew Hake (1754-1832). Their 12 children are listed on his memorial page.
The spelling of names was not consistent in early records and varied depending upon the person writing it down. Variations include Wimeyer, Witmayer, Witmyer, Wintermeier and Wintermeyer.
