Ann (?) (Quinby) Stuckey was definitely wife, not daughter, of William Quinby. As later genealogists have noted, the authors of the Quinby book of 1915 simply did not have access to the Westchester town records. There, "Ann Stucke" made a pair of deeds to "son John Quinby" (Westchester Town Records 1:43, 44). The dates of the deeds are usually transcribed as 24 Feb 1661/2 and 4 Mar 1661/2, but that's impossible. John was "of Westchester in the county of Yorkshire." Yorkshire was established by the English after they took over in 1664 and began appearing in records about Jun 1665. To my eyes, the manuscript reads 1667/8 (see https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSLL-Y3ZR-W?i=26&c...)
