Again for the benefit of new people, the ARCHDEACON surname in America and in Ireland was interchangeable with CODY. Both surnames were sometimes used within the same family at the same time, although within about one generation from Elinor and her siblings CODY eventually won out as the sole surname.

There’s no known record of where either Edmund or Ann (Oldham) Archdeacon/Cody is buried. The Archdeacon family is thought to have attended St. Patrick's Parish in Prince Edward County. St. Patrick's followed the teachings of the Church of England which later became the Episcopalian Church in the US. Attendance was mandatory."

She married about 1779 in North Carolina, possibly in Halifax County, to Edmund Cody, the son of James Cody III and Sarah Womack. She was about 21 years old. They may have had at least 12 children together (more research is needed for the children):
