According to the Scots Peerage, On 8 April 1526 Andrew Alexander of Menstrie had a charter from John, Earl of Argyll, to himself and his wife, Catherine Graham, in liferent, and his son Alexander in fee, of the lands of Menstrie. The Scots Peerage VIII: 166
Death
Andrew Alexander of Menstrie died before 15 January 1529. RMS 1513-46: charter number 932
Marriage
Andrew Alexander Menstrie married Catherine Graham, who died in about 1530, as on 25 February 1548-49 her son Alexander was served heir to her in a house in St. Mary's Wynd, Stirling, which had been in nonentry for eighteen years. The Scots Peerage VIII: 166
Evidence from the National Records of Scotland
15 January 1529: Charter by which Archibald, Earl of Argyll, Lord Campbell of Lorn, confirms that he has sold the five merk land of Dufletter in the Sheriffdom of Perth to Alexander Alsinder of Mentstrie and his heirs. This land had previously been resigned by his deceased father Andrew Alsider and his mother, Katherina Grahame. RMS 1513-46: charter number 932

Thomas Alexander was father of ANDREW ALEXANDER, who succeeded him in the lands of Menstrie, of which the earl of Argyle was then superior. He married Catharine Graham, daughter of —by whom he had two sons.1. Alexander, his heir. 2. Andrew Alexander, who was bred to the church, and in a sasine of Colin earl of Ar∣gyle, dated 15th November 1529, is designed Andreas Alexander, presbyter, &c.
