Andree Remondiere:.

 Andree Remondiere was born about 1651 in the parish of N otre­Dame-de -Cogne in La Rochelle, Aunis , the daugh ter of Jacque s Re mondiere and Renee Riviere who were married about 1650 at La Rochelle. After her father's death, Andree left for Cana da in 1666 at about age 15, accompanied by her mother. She brought with her goods worth an estimated 100 livre s for her dowry. O n 31 October 1666, nota ry Vachon drew up a marriage contract on the fIe d'Orlean s betw een Andree and Th omas Rondea u, both of whom signed it. A na il smith , Thomas was bor n abou t 1638 in Sain te-Soulle (a rrondissemen t and diocese of La Rochelle) , Auni s, the son of . Jean Ro ndeau and Mari e Fourest ier. Tho mas and Andree se ttle d in the par ish of Saint-P ierre, fIe d'Orlean s, where they were blesse d with a lar ge famil y. Mat hurin was baptized 07 Febr uary 1668 at Ch ateau- Richer. Tho mas was baptized 28 December 1668 in Sainte-Famille , fIe d'Or leans, as were Elisabeth (25 Oct ober 1670 ), Ma rie (0 9 January 167 3), Francoise (03 September 1674), Urs ule (1 0 Aug ust 167 6) and Francois (09 April 1678). Madeleine was bapti zed at Sain t-P ierre 05 January 1680, fo llowed by Fabien (2 8 Oc tobe r 1681), an unnam ed baby (b orn and bur ied 28 Octo ber 16 83), Marie- Char lotte (25 Dece mber 1684) , Jean-Bapti ste (28 March 1688 ), Cla ire (1 2 July, buried 18 July 1690 ), Tho mas (18 Novemb er 169 2) and Anne (05 November 1694). And ree Remondiere died 21 Novem ber 17 02 and was buried the next day at Sa int-Pierre. Thomas Rondeau died 10 November 172 1 at Saint­Pier re, whe re he wa s buried the nex t day. 

Andree arrived in Quebec, QC on August 11,1666 aboard the ship the Saint Jean-Baptiste with her mother Renee La Riviere who was a widow. They were both Fille du Roy. Andree brought with her goods worth approximately 100 pounds.
