Amy [Naomi] Bunch

Cannot have been the daughter of Paul Winigum & Amy. She was born long after they died.

Paul5 Bunch, born about 1720–25, married Amy [Naomi?] Winigum on 28 April 1648 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, He was described in the register as a resident of Amelia. Amy (Naomi?) Winigum was the perhaps the daughter of Thomas Winigham.

Paul Bunch’s (first?) wife might be the Amy Winningham born 11 August 1733 in Bristol Parish, Virginia, daughter of Thomas and Mary Winningham.

1. Mary, daughter of Paul and Naomi Bunch, was born “71th” [17?] July 1750
2. Elizabeth was born “17th” April 1752, with Mary Bunch, Joseph Joyner, and Winifred Joyner witnesses.

Both Gideon and his Father, John B. Bunch, we’re identified, listed as Mulatto.When John shows up in So Carolina ,he has 6-8 dark skin people with him. John Henry Bunch,-1690- 1775 was listed as, Cherokee Indian Tribe. Paul Bunch’s Mother was Amy Winigum, 1668-1726, from Cherokee tribe. [SIC: wrong dates]
From family stories passed down , my family has been told that the Bunch’s were German- Portigese- and that they then mixed in the Colonies with Saponi & then Cherokee Indian blood lines.
