Youngest daughter of Benjamin Kendrick Pierce and Amanda Boykin

On February 1st 1847, Amanda Pierce married Dr. James Owen Boykin, son of James William Boykin and the former Clarissa Ann Owens; with whom she had five children: William, Clara, Pierce, James, Jr. and Elizabeth.

Amanda Pierce Boykin departed this life on March 2nd 1857 at the age of 27 years. She was laid to rest in the churchyard cemetery at Saint Pauls Episcopal, near her sister, Charlotte Boykin Pierce Lang.
