FAULKNER We regret to record the death of an old and respected settler of this district, Mr Alfred Faulkner, who has been residing for many years at Bowentown. For some time past he had been suffering acutely from an internal complaint and his condition had been recognised as hopeless, the end coming on Monday. He leaves many relatives including brothers and sisters, among the former being Mr Joe Faulkner of Te Puna and Capt Chris Faulkner of the SS Mangapapa. The body of the deceased was brought here today, by boat for interment this afternoon in the old cemetery when a great many of his friends followed his remains to the last resting place.
