He died between 4 June 1647 (date of will) and 16 July 1647 (death of widow). (Savage stated that he died on 16 July 1647, but that was the date of death of his widow.)

Alexander sailed from London aboard the ship, "Defence" in August, 1635. He reached Boston two months later, in October of 1635.
He was made a freeman December 7, 1636, and settled in Braintree, Massachusetts.
He married Sarah Brown in 1637, in Braintree, Massachusetts.[citation for this name & event required]
Alexander and Sarah were the parents of four daughters and made their home at Rehoboth, Massachusetts in 1643.

If records are correct, Alexander and wife Sarah died of reasons unrecorded on the same day, July 16, 1647 at their home in Rehoboth.
Their four daughters, ages one year through ten years were left orphans.
