Without proof it should not be regarded as being certain, but it seems quite likely, probable even, that Alexander Cleland, here treated, who was booked to marry Margaret Graham at Kilsyth on 22 October 1663, is not the same person as the Alexander Cleland in Arnbrae, parish of Kilsyth who was booked to marry Agnes Cleland at Kilsyth on 2 December 1687
