Alan de Wyntoun witnessed a grant by Peter de Grame to the House of Soltre between 1190 and 1238 (Soltre, p. 11), and before 1200 Henry de Wynton witnessed a charter by Hugh Rydale, dominus de Cranestun (Neubotle, 12).
