• ** "Robert Caldwell was born 7 October 1762 to David Caldwell (1708/1709 Ireland-6Mar1769 Cub Creek) and his wife Mary Dudgeon (1720-1820 Mercer, KY). This Robert married Agnes Hannah Willis/Willes and settled in Kentucky. He has sometimes been confused with his UNCLE Robert Caldwell who married Mary Logan, and his COUSIN Robert Caldwell Jr. who married Frances Irvine."
