Services for Adolphus Woodson, 88, were held at Avoca Baptist with Howard Quiett, pastor and Rev. Campbell of Abilene Grace Methodist officiating. Mr. Woodson was Methodist and a retired farmer. Adolphus Woodson moved to Avoca in 1887 and then to his farm in the country in 1890. He was living at Abilene at the time of his death.
Survived by one son - - Herbert V. Woodson; two daughters - Mrs. Jessie Lawrence and Mrs. C.E. Huffaker; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers - Tony and Joe Woodson; one nephew - Woodrow W. Blackman; two sisters - Mrs. Ella Blackstock and Mrs. May Ray
