About Adela of Nordgau

Weis and van de Pas list her as Adele/Adela (d 961), the daughter of Lambet, Count of Louvain. Langston lists her as Adele of Dagsbourg, origin unknown. Cawley lists her as Adela (d 961), the daughter of Hugo a count in Nordgau (d 940, son of Count Eberhard and Adelinda) and Hildegarde.

m HILDEGARD, daughter of -. The Vita Sancti Deicoli names "Hildegardis…comitissa" as wife of Hugo[102].
Hugo [V] & his wife had [four] children:

The Annales Hanoniæ record the death in 961 of "Adela comitissa Montensis…uxor Ragineri comitis"[122], although as this passage follows closely on those dealing with the exploits of "Raginerus Longi-colli" it is unclear to which Count Reginar the Annales are referring at this point. The primary source which confirms her parentage has not yet been identified.

She is named in secondary sources as Adela von Dachsburg, daughter of Hugo [V] Graf von Dachsburg und Egisheim [Alsace] & his wife Hildegard ---, but the primary source which confirms that this is correct has not yet been identified.
Comte Reginar [III] & his wife had two children:
- a) REGINAR [IV] (after 947-1013). .. see below.
- b) LAMBERT [I] de Hainaut ([950]-killed in battle Florennes 12 Sep 1015). The Annales Hanoniæ name "Lambertus…comes Lovaniensis" as son of "Rignerii comitis Montensis"[45]. " He established himself as LAMBERT [I] "le Barbu" Comte de Louvain. See COMTES de LOUVAIN.
