Adam de Gorsuch

Walter de Scarisbrick was the son of Gilbert de Scaribrick. He had two sons, Henry, his heir, and Adam. Walter granted land at Gosfordsyke (the place where the geese ford the creek), which became Gorsuch. Adam took the name de Gorsuch while Henry kept de Scarisbrick. Walter died about 1260.
