Funeral Services were conducted for Mrs. Ada Comeaux Murphy, age 77, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment followed at Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A native of Coteau and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Murphy passed away at 7:50 am on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her brother's residence.

Ada was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was also a former Eucharistic minister as well as a former member of the St. Anne Society.

Ada loved spending time with her family, cooking, making everyone feel welcome and working in her garden. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was survived by five brothers, three sisters, four sons, two daughters, thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. "Hop" Murphy, III, her parents, Raoul and Agnes Babineaux Comeaux; brothers, Herman Comeaux, Philip “Pat” Comeaux, and Lovelace Comeaux; and sisters, Jane Foreman, Marion Comeaux, and Rena Comeaux.
