Abraham Reed (b. 1745, d. date unknown) Abraham Reed, (son of Mathew Reed) , was born 1745 in Londonderry, N.H., and died date unknown. He married Martha Mary Humphrey.
Abraham and Martha lived in the old section of Londonderry on Zion's Hill which is now named Salem and Windham, N.H. In 1775 he sold his farm and moved to Derryfield, now called Manchester, where he and Martha died and are buried. Abraham was a lieutenant in the company commanded by his brother, Colonel George Reed in the Revolutionary War. Abraham participated in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Item, I give and Bequeath to my Beloved son ABRM REID one peice of meadow lying in flat Rock so Called which goes under the name of Chamber' s Patersons meadow.
7. Abraham3 Reid (Matthew2, 1) was born Bet. 1734 - 1735 in NH, and died 28 November 1794 in Derryfield, Manchester, NH. He married Martha Humphrey 1762, daughter of John Humphrey and Martha/Weir Weare. She was born 30 September 1744 in Londonderry, Rockingham, NH, and died 01 December 1820.
Notes for Abraham Reid: Lt. in the Battle of Bunker Hill with his lst cousin GEORGE REID who went on to be a GENERAL. Abraham Reid was accused of being a Tory, so DAR doesn't hold him in favor.
