To son CHRISTOPHER HARRELL: a Negro boy named Robins and £5 cash for his education.
All the rest to wife during her natural life or widowhood. Sons Abel and John sole executors.
Witnesses: George House, Edward Toole and Israel Hardy Harrell.
On June 30, 1758 son John, as executor, assigned over to his brothers and sisters six Negroes, cattle, hogs, sheep, some money [amount not given] and household furniture. The document was signed by Abel (X) Harrell, Mary (W) Holland, Zachariah Harrell, Abigail (A) Harrell, Lott (X) Harrell, Theophilus Holland, Grace (X) Holland, Thomas Neal, and Sarah (S) Neal. From the color of the ink, it appears that the names of Susannah and Christopher were added later, possibly in 1768 at the time of the final settlement on Tuesday, September 4, 1768.[5]
