(Note) In the Colonial Records of New Haven, page 297, is recorded the affidavit of John Fletcher and others of Milford, taken October 17th, 1661; made in the presence of Nathaniel Bacon at New Haven, stating their personal knowledge of Henry Bacon and William Bacon, both of Stretton, in the County of Rutland, and Realm of England... Also, that the Nathaniel Bacon then present, was the oldest son of said William Bacon." (1)

Abigail Bacon was born February 5, 1712 at Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut to Andrew and Mehittabel Wetmore Bacon. She married Josiah Loomis Jr. April 26, 1732 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut and they had ten children: Elizabeth, Abigail, Josiah III, Andrew, Michael, Abijah, Sarah, Daniel (#71428280), Benajah and Rachel. The family moved to Egremont, Berkshire County, Massachusetts before 1750. Sixty-three year old Abigail died there March 11, 1775 and is thought to be buried there.
