~MY ANCESTOR~ Abigail Gold was born to my ancestors, DEP. GOV. NATHAN GOLD & MRS. HANNAH (TALCOTT) GOLD of Fairfield,FF Co., CT. She was the grand-daughter of my immigrant ancestors, MAJOR JOHN & SARAH (PHIPPEN) GOLD of Fairfield and MAJOR JOHN & HELENA (WAKEMAN) TALCOTT founders of Hartford, CT. Abigail married REV. THOMAS HAWLEY about 1712.

Their daughter, DOROTHY HAWLEY, was my ancestor. She married REV. NATHAN BIRDSEYE and they are buried in the Old Congregational Burying Ground in Stratford, CT.

The house in which they lived (third picture on the right) is now a private home in Ridgefield.

Burial: Titicus Cemetery Ridgefield Fairfield County Connecticut, USA Plot: Buried in the "Old Settlers or Titicus" part of cemetery off Main Street (Ridgefield) on Route 116. Entering the cemetery at the "Old Settlers" sign go down the road almost to the end. Thomas & Abigail's stones are on the right side of the road up a small hill facing and overlooking the road. They are small stones.
