About Abigail (Farnsworth) Sawtell
On April 10, 1713, Ephraim Sawtell of Groton and Abigail Farnsworth of Groton were married by a Justice Minot at Concord. The record of their marriage was sent to Groton.
She died on December 4, 1753 and is buried at the Old Burying Ground in Groton. Her tombstone, which features a death's head, reads:
Here lies ye body of Ms Abigail Sawtell ye Wife of Capt.
Ephraim Sawtell Who Departed This life December ye 4th
AD 1753 in ye 66th year of her Age.
Note: She should not be confused with the widow Abigail Sawtell who married Joshua (or Joseph) Nevers of Groton on January 22, 1756.
