About Aaron Beer Marcus Sekeles

According to Prague familianten records, Aron Beer Sekeles was the son of Markus Sekeles. During the early 1790s, Aron was employed by Salomon Zerkowitz (c1743-1809), a wealthy "money lender" in Prague. He and his family resided in the Zerkowitz household, #187, between the years of 1787 and 1796. They are later seen in household #256 (1796-c1802), household #275 (1803), household #251 (1805), and household #231 (1807).

Aron Beer Sekeles left the Zerkowitz household (and presumably his employ by Salomon Zerkowitz) around the same time that Salomon Zerkowitz was "required" by the Frankists to hand over his entire fortune to them. Salomon Zerkowitz was a devoted follower of the false Messiah, Jacob Frank, and later of Frank's daughter, Eva, and ended up destitute after the Frankists decimated his wealth.

Aron Beer Sekeles died on 15 August 1833, age 71.
