Aaltje Jans (a.k.a. Aaltje Jansdochter) was the wife of Jan Cornelisz Damen. They resided in the hamlet of Vechten in the village of Bunnik, Utrecht, Netherlands.[1] Jan Cornelisz Damen and his wife Aaltje Jansdochter, residents of Bunnik, made a joint will on 29 May 1619 in which they gave each other life interest in their estates. Aaltje's husband Jan Cornelisz Damen died some time before 3 January 1627, when their son Jan Jansz Damen certified that he was satisfied with the legacy he had received from his father's estate.[5] It is likely that Aaltje had also died by this time, since the joint will she had created with her husband gave her life interest in his estate.
