1st wife of Stephen Self

Family

Stephen Self, son of Robert Self, was born before 1673 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He died about 1731 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.

Stephen married 1) unknown 2) Jane Joyce Garner before 18 September 1704, so the younger children are Jane’s. Jane was the daughter of John Garner. She married Thomas Allison 2nd about 1733, who had a son Thomas Allison.

He had the following children:

• + 17 M i Stephen SELF was born before 1692 and died after 1747.
• + 18 M ii Francis SELF was born after 1692.
• 19 F iii Eliza SELF was born Feb 23 1699. There is some controversy regarding the birth date of Eliza Self. The date may be 1679.
• 20 M iv Walter SELF was born about 1700. He died about 1747. Walter married MARY about 1735.

2nd wife

• + 21 M v Phillip SELF was born about 1710.
• 22 M vi Benjamin SELF was born about 1713.
• + 23 M vii Job I SELF was born about 1715.
