Comments
Estienne - later Stephen - Chenault arrived aboard the Nassau at Yorktown, Virginia, on 5 Mar 1700/1701.[2] Apparently it was only himself and his wife, as his manifest description was Estienne Cheneau et sa femme.[2] The family settled first at Manakin, Goochland County, Virginia and removed later to Essex County.[3] They may have originated in the Netherlands.
