Profiles with strange characters

Can you provide some examples?

We know that such problem exist if during editing profiles the users browser is forced to use some other code-page than automatic choice of UTF-8 as proposed by Geni.
(I have seen some such way invalid Russian and Chinese profiles).

Chinese, Arabic and Hebrew all work fine for me.

Arabic does not display correctly in tree view - the letters are all displayed in their non-connected form whereas the form of an Arabic letter may depend upon whether it is standalone, initial, medial, or final.

Outside of Geni, this is a problem with Microsoft products which also mirror image Arabic in some of the products and corrupt Arabic when it's moved from tool to tool.

These profiles seem to be managed by someone called Jonathan Paracy who has Arabic characters in brackets between his first and last name in his profile and other profiles of his show up with gobblydgook. This includes for example the name of sir Ewen Cameron, 17th of Lochiel. There's seems to be a mess in the tree around here that I hope to clean up but it is confusing, because there are so many Mary MacDonalds and Donald MacDonalds in different generations. One resolution would be to merge with some of Johnathan's profiles but I'm hesitating, having regretted merging one or two and being left with the gobbldygook.

I would be concerned about merging his profiles, especially when I see things like Ellizabeth and a half Stuart

Jonathan paracy made a giant tree full of rubbish with wrong conections all over the place to trick us into merging it and making a mess, dont merge his profiles if it can be avoided, and disconnect them whenever you see them

Although the profiles in the above path seem odd, they appear legitimate and have other managers. Only one is jointly managed by Paracy prior to the "delete me" profile, which is also managed by Bjorn Brox, so these must have merged. Presumably Johnathan Paracy's profiles can be unlinked and set adrift:
