Gen. Erwin Rommel

The "Desert Fox" had a great reputation for his tactics in the field........hence he was a great TACTICIAN but not so great a STRATEGIST. I served in the US Army and was based in Stuttgart ( then West Germany) from 1975 t0 1978. Stuttgart is the birth city for my son Erich and daughter Candice. We were surprised to find out that the Mayor of Stuttgart was Manfred Rommel, his son.
