I don't know how Agnes CARTER got onto my family tree. I have no record of her.

Hi Alan. The records show that you added her in June 2009 (look at the revisions tab). She's since then been merged with several other trees.

I wouldn't exclude the possibility that the revisions tab has it wrong in this case. I was intrigued by the mystery so I've gone back to our logs -- none of the seven merged profiles actually have Mr. Rosenfield as the creator.

That doesn't mean she's not his wife's ancestor though. :-)

Mike Stangel - we have currently an error in revisions that I have not bothered to report because it was so obvious that it was probably reported by a lot of users already: When you merge two profiles where both have a revision history the revision histories is not merged, - you loose one of them.

Bjørn - thanks, we are aware of this limitation. We're in the middle of a many-month transition to a much-improved revision history system that, when complete, will make all changes (even after a merge) much more transparent and easier to undo.

Thanks, Pam:

I looked her up on Geni. While she is not on my records, she clearly is an ancestor of my wife. I don't know why Geni said that I added her.
