Profiles of Ramon del Fierro Magsaysay

To merge the different profiles:

- the profile managers will have to add the other profile managers to their family group. once added, proceed with the merging process.
- mark the profiles as public. once we have a single-merged profile, we will the curators at Geni designate it as the master profile.

My son in law, married to my eldest daughter , is the direct grandson of Pres.Magsaysay as he is the son of Mila Magsaysay. I have access to the family tree. Just dont know how to connect with the proponent of this project.Maloy Mallari

You are managing this profile - Unknown Profile, you can set it public. Go to Edit Mode (click Edit Profile) and check 'This is a Public Profile'.

With the other profiles, add the profile managers to your Family Group.

The merge duplicate profiles malfunctioned for president Magsaysay. Can you fix the duplicate parents and wives that resulted? Thank you.

Hi Private User I just sent you a request to collaborate, so you could edit the public profiles. I suggest that we move our email discussion to this forum; so that we can bring in family members and others who have created profiles on Pres Magsaysay for academic purposes. :D

The first task is to merge the duplicate profiles of Luz Banzon; and move our way outward.

Hi, Maloy and Casto. Would it be possible for you to set the abovementioned profiles to PUBLIC please so that we can merge the profiles? [Edit profile and click check box on upper right]

We are attempting to "clean up" the Magsaysay Tree so that family ties are more clearly represented. Of course, because Luz is a historically relevant individual, we would like to make her genealogy accessible.

Note that this will NOT impact the privacy of living individuals who you have set as private. They will be seen as gray boxes by users who do not belong to your family.

Please let me know if you have any questions. As a Geni curator, I would also be able to assist should you have technical concerns. :D

Let me know also what I can do on my end. Casto is a member and manager of our family network so its important he works with us to clean and fix our tree.

Mona, have you received any responses from your 6/21 request? If not, we should consider what options we have in moving forward in fixing President Magsaysay's profile. By fixing, I mean the public profile should be free of errors and duplications (i.e. multiple references to the First Lady) , it should be relatively complete, and it should link to the primary tree maintained by family members most closely associated with him. One of my main concerns is right now our primary tree is missing his profile, either because it was delinked somehow in the process of making it public. I need your assistance in relinking it to our profiles of his parents and children. Secondly, we need to decide what to do with the duplicate first lady profiles if we are unable to hear back from the respective managers about merging them. The family tree managers are Casto,myself, and Ramon Jr who is the President's son. One course of action I propose is that the non-family linked associated profiles be delinked or deleted if by the end of june, a response has not been heard. These profiles including his parents and children should instead be linked to our family tree and will obviate the need on our part to recreate the missing profile.

Hi Horacio. Unfortunately, no one has replied. The end of June seems like a fair amount to wait. I would be able to merge your tree with the master tree. I would send you a request to temporarily include me in your family group. I will unjoin as soon as all the severed links are restored and the duplications merged. If someone makes corrections later, I should be able to link them back.

To get this going, please click on my profile and on the upper right, click "Actions" > "Add to Family Group".

Done. Please confirm as I got error messages and had to do it twice.

Hi Private User. I confirmed the invitation; but I still could not see your tree. It appears as gray boxes on my end. Sent a bug report to Geni.

On your end, please click you profile on the upper right, then "Privacy Settings", then on the left bar "Family Group". Kindly check that my name appears under "Added Relatives". Thanks!

Hi Private User. I am still unable to see your tree. It might have something to do with the settings of your brother Private User -- he added your name to the tree and "owns" most of the profiles I cannot access. Unfortunately, the last time he was on Geni was October 2009. I sent him a collaboration request already; but would appreciate your help in following up. Thanks!

Hi Private User. Your brother Renato has been logging into Geni as "Gregorio Magsaysay" more often. He was logged in yesterday; so I sent him a note via that account as well.

He could be referencing the tree for info to disseminate at the reunion. I helped put a lot of birth and death dates on that tree. I would be surprised if you get a response while this huge reunion is going on.
