I chose to put Raimond II as the son of Odo. Odo is my 28th great grandfather.

Hi Sandy. The best source on this *very* complicated family (the Coutns of Toulouse) is http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/TOULOUSE.htm. Be aware that even the experts do not agree on the relationships in this lineage, but Cawley (the author of the cited piece) uses only primary and contemporaneous sources and so I trust his interpretation the best.

According to him as you'll see, Raimond II was the son of Odo(n)/Eudes and Gersinde.

If in doubt, we curators are following Cawley's FMG Medieval Lands model, since it's the most consistent. You'll find that the numbering sometimes differs between sources, so we use the FMG numbering but sometimes but the alternate numbering in parentheses.

Flemming Allan Funch is the curator who is most knowledgeable about this lineage (Flemming actually lives in Toulouse himself!) but he has been busy with work and not as active on Geni for the past few weeks. Another curator, Private User, also works on the tree in that area in the border region between Spain and France.

During this period, relationships are often questionable and greatly disputed. I'm often removing parents and marking them as "parentage unknown", while adding hypothetical relationships to the about section.

Thanks, Victar. After lookng into this I spent a couple of hours trying to merge and detangle several generations of this Toulouse family. I got from Raimond I down to Raimond IV and his son Guillaume III "Taillefer" and there I stopped, so if you have some time you might look at it too. It hadn't been tended in quite a while and there had been quite a few bad merges.
