There is quite a mess in the tree among the counts of Pfirt, and persons of several different generations have been merged, which is causing the problems.

I propose that someone with better Geni skills (this does not apply to myself) would try to correct the area, using external sources to verify relationships. Some information is available in English and German Wikipedias and even at

With your solution I came to realise that I'm related to the Counts of Pfirt/Ferrette via two slightly different routes. Your master profile of Ludwig I is my second cousin 20 times removed, while the other profile of Ludwig I
at

Unknown Profile

is a direct ancestor, my 23rd great grandfather. But it seems we cannot merge them without the profile manager's consent.

And we are 12th cousins twice removed, with the Swedish king Gustav Vasa as our common ancestor, your "chunk of Swedish" that seems to get some new life in younger generations...
