How do I check to see if I am related to the celebrities? When I go into a celebrity profile they all say "You are connected to (name)". But surely, I am not related to them all. How can I find out who is REALLY related?

Thanks

Pressing the label of "How are you related"

Thanks Arno!! :)

New Celebrity Tree I did today...

THE JETS (this link takes you to a picture page, where I tagged all the members)

They were a prominent 1980s pop-group and America's first R&B, Pop Polynesian Group of Tongan descent. They descend from the Wolfgramm's of Germany who made their way over to Tonga, and their descendants have made it to New Zealand, United States of America, Australia, all over...

Céline Dion
I have added names to Celine Dion's newborn twin baby boys, Nelson and Eddy. :)

The Jets? How random can you get?!

LMAO Peter. Ya know!

Mimi, - it might be an idea to set the gender on the twins now.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celine_Dion is updated with details.

Oopsy. LOL I'll get to it...unless someone else has. Thanks Bjorn.

I just did the tree for Robert Louis Stevenson. He's a famous Author. He wrote the famed the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde among a lot of other famous stories.

Robert Louis Stevenson

Sebastian Bach

I was a huge fan of Skid Row back in the 1990s. I was totally in love with Sebastian Bach...haha....

Anyway, I decided to build his tree. :)

Sebastian Bach was born in the Bahamas? Be careful Mimi that you don't piss off the Bahamians now!

LOL Peter.

Yes, Sebastian Bach was born in the Bahamas! I got that from his actual website on an article he wrote about his father. His father was an art teacher there, and met his mom there who was also an artist. His mom was from Ontario, Canada (I wish I could do her line, because she's of French-Canadian descent), and his father is from Missouri, raised in California. His father's family goes back to Norway, Germany and Belgium...

Jimi Hendrix

Enjoy...he's descended from major profiles in the Big Tree...see how he's related to you. :)

He's my 7th cousin thrice removed - awesome!

All is right in the world! Jimi is my 8th cousin twice removed! Thanks Mimi!!

Catherine Oxenberg is my 22nd cousin. and .hendrix is my 23rd cousin. thats awsome

Jimi Hendrix is your 10th cousin twice removed. through Anne Dudley Bradstreet, the first American poetess. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4616663

Amazing. He's a direct descendant.

Aileen Wuornos
Aileen Wuornos, one of America's most famous female serial Killers.

Jimi Hendrix is your seventh cousin once removed.

You may all 'scuse me while I kiss the sky now.

K Anderson

I sooo don't want to be related to Aileen Wurnos, yuck. Bring on James Gang, I think I have an ancestress' first husband was in it.

Nobody is related to Aileen yet...just connected to her through some of her ex-in-laws. :)

Albert Fish
Albert Fish, a vile kind of serial killer...

Some of you will be related to him...he descends from some Mayflower passengers.

Hamilton Fish is Hatte Blejer's 8th cousin four times removed but through an odd area of the tree so who knows.

He's my 20th cousin twice removed.

Marie Catherine Laveau, Voodoo Priestess
Most recently, New Orleans famed Voodoo Priestess. Not a cousin of mine (yet), but married into the distant French family. :)

There are some genetic genealogy companies that allow you to compare ur dna and famous ppl's dna, but its gonna cost u

ur probably related to charlemagne, but then again. who isn't?

I keep wanting to make some trees for notable people, but I haven't yet mastered creating profiles for non-relatives. Do we have a tutorial somewhere?
