A large handwritten family tree exists. I have a terrible photocopy of it, which I got from Merv Rowan in Ontario, Canada, many years ago. I think he got a copy in Scotland. I have a working copy on Ancestry.ca. The Family tree that I have starts at John Rolland. No parents are listed. His son was listed as John Rolland, "the younger," married to Janet Anderson. Rolland was the original name before it was changed to Rowan.
