According to family records Ens. Joseph T. Patton ( 01JAN1762-27APR1849) age 24 and Rebecca Morgan ( 1765-1838) age 21 gave birth to a daughter Nancy A. Patton (1786-1874). Born in North Carolina and wed to Lawrence J. Bass (27Nov1780-27Apr1856), Lawrence & Nancy had a documented total of 11 children together between the years of 1805-1821. Her her husband and their children's records are on file with this site though she does not seem to be connected to her father ( Ens. Joseph T. Patton).

What is the evidence for Nancy Patton Bass’s origins?

Where is it shown that Joseph Patton had an additional wife Rebecca? The DAR lists his wife as Elizabeth Tipton.

Sgt. B R Bass found his father for Nancy (Patton) Bass - it was Jacob Patton, not Joseph.
