What a mess. There's no evidence that he was born in Yorkshire, and no source indicating these parents.

There is evidence of 1605 birth in Worcestershire, of parents, Henry and Fraunces.

Agree. Lots of theories in these old GEDCOMs.

Your blog points to Thomas Donne (1545-1621) m. Jane Cole (1557-) as parents of Henry Donne (1574-1619) m. Frauncis, but the current FamilySearch link is to some fellow in Devon, which is not wonderful either.

How about I detach 'Thomae' from parents and we leave it there for now? I'm much concerned about getting your direct line properly placed, and in all the merging I did, there are still questions.

Thank you, Erica. Yes, detach Thomae from his parents.
The Donne family of Devon were the original members of the Virginia Company, and as mentioned in my blog, John Ross Dunn, Esq. was related to them. I really appreciate your hard work.

Thank you. You can go ahead and add your Henry m. Frauncis, but then we should review.

I had peeled off a merge into the Barnstable, Massachusetts family yesterday, among other horrors discovered.

I did add an old tree reference to Robert Burgess and Anna Dunn (parents of Obedience), but I think you're right about Anna Dunn being from a coincidental Dunn family. Robert Burgess should have more of a footprint in history books from being in Bacon's Rebellion. I don't much believe the dates from the old tree and did not look for the marriage record.
