Clarence Ellis suggests that the name of Alice's husband might have been Walter, but states there isn't much evidence for this.

What is the evidence for Alice's marriage to Sewallis de Shirley? As far as I am aware the only evidence that Alice even existed is in Hubert de Burgh's grant of about 1230, I've never seen anything about a second marriage. It's possible that following the death of her first husband she retired to the important religious foundation in Walsingham and that is why she was buried there.

Well, I can't find any place in the revisions for either Alice or Sewallis that shows when they got connected to each other on Geni.

Also, I'm not finding any evidence that they were married. Sewallis shows up often, married to Martha Ridel; not seeing anything about Alice N.N..

Also, Alice and her de Burgh husband spent their lives hanging out in Norfolk, apparently, whilst Sewallis was in Warwickshire and Derbyshire.

My own take on this is that Sewallis and Alice need to get disconnected.

Eugene Thomas -- you are curating Sewallis; do you want Alice to stay connected?
