Bruce lost his temper with Comyn and did dirk him , but it did not kill him. Bruce's two Lt.'s Lindsay and Kirkpatrick "Will make suckker" and went into the Kirk and finished the job. All three were all excommunicated. Comyn had made a deal with the English Crown, and tried to get Bruce involved. A Generation later, Lindsay was a guest of Kirkpatrick. Lots of wine for dinner, toasting the fact that their fathers had help save Scotland. Drunk and early morn to bed, Lindsay awoke in a dream state, when to Kirkpatrick's bed and stabbed him with his dirk to death. He awoke, and was horrified at what he had done with no reason. Bruce's son, now King heard of it and arrested Lindsay. He was stripped of title and rank, and Hung !! Both had no son's and their lines ended. I had never traced this line of mine to these Comyn's before. So now seems I have Blood lines on both side of this Grisly story. My lines cross with his grandfather, the first 'Red' Lord Comyn.
