I spoke several times on the subject with Naftali Wakstein who expressed to me his sufficiency on the subject.
My cousin, who is a descendant son after son to The Kozker Rebbe through his eldest son Rabbi David, sent me a section of his family tree in which there is indeed verification that The Kozker is a descendant of the Neumark-Mirels family.
I attached the information to the profile picture of The Kozker Rebbe's great grandfather:

I asked him if the information was taken from rabbinic literature or if the information was passed down in his family generation after generation...he did not know .
Does anyone have reliable and proven information on the subject?
