Katherine Goodale was not a known daughter of Henry Kilham & Alice Kilham and has been detached from parents.
Her husband Robert Goodale, of Salem was not the same person as Robert Goodale, II son of Robert Goodale, of Dennington & Joan Goodale and has been detached from parents.

There has been much speculation as to who [[Robert Goodale, of Salem Robert Goodale, of Salem] Robert's] parents were, but their identity has not been proven. One current theory, as suggested by George E. Williams in his book, A Genealogy of the Descendants of Robert Goodale/ Goodell of Salem, Massachusetts, states that Robert Goodell was the son of [[Robert Goodale, of Dennington Robert Goodale, of Dennington] Robert Goodale] and [[Joan Goodale Joan Goodale] Joan Artys], who was baptized 16 Aug 1601 in Dennyngton, Suffolk, England.[3] [[Robert Goodale, II Robert Goodale, II] There are other families with sons named Robert of his generation, but in no case do the few known facts go together correctly.
Anderson [in The Great Migration Begins] did not accept this identification and stated:
"In her will of 1 March 160[1/]2, [[Elizabeth Goodale Elizabeth Goodale] "Elizabeth Goodale"] of , mentioned three sons, including Robert, and "[[Henry Kilham Henry Kilham] Henry Kilham] and [[Alice Kilham Alice Kilham] Alice his wife], my daughter"[Waters 2:1403, citing Archdeaconry of Suffolk 38:478]. This latter couple were the parents of AUSTIN KILLAM {1637, } and this may be what led George E. Williams to claim that the [[Katherine Goodale Katherine Goodale] first wife of Robert Goodale] was "Catherine Kilham"[ 5]. While there is no evidence for this identification, the fact that one of the [[Alice Kilham Alice Kilham] daughters of Robert Goodale] married a son of [[Austin Kilham, of Dennington & Wenham Austin Kilham, of Dennington & Wenham] Austin Killam] suggests that there may be some relationship.
"Examination of the Dennington register confirms this baptism, but there is also the baptism of another Robert on 17 March 1611, son of Thomas, and we have already seen that the widow Elizabeth also had a son Robert. Although we do not agree with the conclusions made by Williams, further investigation of the records of Dennington and vicinity should reveal the correct identity of this immigrant."[2]
