Ensign Gerard Spencer, II - "Hannah's" Death Data vs 2nd Marriage Data

In Gerard's Will, no mention is made of a living spouse. Gerard was a widower when he wrote his Will. His first wife did NOT outlive him, which is what her Geni person-profile, Find A Grave, and a few invalidated tertiary sources show.

The proffered marriage year means the marriage occurred AFTER Gerard immigrated to MA. Further, this awareness means one cannot specifically prove a town or Shire where Gerard's first wife was born. Even showing "Bedfordshire" would is implausible to me. Therefore, "Grace", as Anderson thinks "Jared Spencer" first married, died sometime before "Jared" remarried. "Grace" died, then, sometime between the birth of her last child on 21 Dec 1658) and 21 Sep 1677—the death date of Rebecca's first husband.

Torrey rightly states of the second marriage, “SPENCER, Jared/[Gerard] (1614-1712) & 2/wf Rebecca (PORTER) [Clark], w John; aft. 1677; Haddam, CT”, though it's possible the second marriage occurred before January 1678.
