Nicholas Gibson is named in the will of his father Thomas Gibson I of Queens Creek, York Co., found in Charles City River Co., Va., in the 1630s with brother? father? Nicholas Gibson.
In 1652 Thomas leaves his land to Nicholas when he is of age, Nicholas inherited this land in 1658. This land in York Co., became first New Kent and then Hanover County, Thomas I also mentions is brother in law and sister William and Margaret Blackey who are also found in New Kent Co records, they never moved, the county did. Thomas' land in York Co became New Kent then Hanover. Thomas II is son of Nicholas, grandson of Thomas I
If there is a record of Thomas' wife Mary I have not found it, there is a Mary Gibson mentioned in the Parish records Thomas belonged to but I believe she is the 'widow' Mary Gibson mentioned on the 1704 Rent Rolls in the new county.
Thomas I is associtated with PETER WARE whose ancestors/kin are the VALENTINES and GARETTS.
